Wallet & units

Every successful verification debits one unit from your organisation’s wallet. This page explains the wallet model so you can predict and reconcile your consumption.

Your org wallet is a running balance of unit credits, kept in our database and decremented in real time as your users make verification calls.

ActionEffect on wallet
Successful verification−1 unit
Failed verification (4xx / 5xx from NIMC)no change
Re-query (/verify-nin/requery)no change
Unit purchase via Paystack+N units (plus any early-bird bonus)
Manual adjustment by platform admin±N units (audit-logged)

You can check your current balance from the admin portal, or programmatically via the user-facing /me endpoint depending on your role.

Self-Hosted tenants top up by submitting a new Expression of Interest on the public landing page, exactly as you did for your initial purchase:

  1. Visit https://randaverify.com and pick Self-Hosted.
  2. Specify the unit count and complete Paystack payment.
  3. Once the platform admin completes the integration, the newly-purchased units are credited to your existing wallet (we match on the business email).

A future API endpoint is planned for self-service top-ups; until then, the landing-form path is the supported one.

Early-bird bonus (Hosted Affiliate only — until 15 Jun 2026)

Section titled “Early-bird bonus (Hosted Affiliate only — until 15 Jun 2026)”

For reference, Hosted Affiliate unit purchases earn free bonus units on top of the paid amount until 15 June 2026:

We recognise long-term Self-Hosted customers with loyalty badges. The badge is awarded automatically based on lifetime units purchased across all your successful EOIs.

Lifetime units purchasedBadge
20,000+🥈 Silver
30,000+🏆 Gold
50,000+💎 Diamond

The badge appears on:

  • Your org profile in the platform admin portal (visible to RandaVerify support when you raise tickets).
  • The payment receipt email you receive after each successful top-up — if a purchase pushes your lifetime total past a threshold, the new badge is shown on that receipt.

Badges are recognition only; they do not affect pricing.
